When a vent needs more than cleaning

Some dryer vents can’t be fixed with a cleaning. Plastic or foil transition hoses crush and trap lint. Runs with too many turns clog quickly. Missing or broken vent caps let in pests and weather. And when you move your laundry area, you need a new vent route.

Rigid or flexible dryer vent: which is better?

Smooth metal duct is generally preferred for the vent run because it collects less lint. A short metal transition duct connects the dryer to the wall.

How long can a dryer vent be?

It depends on your dryer manufacturer’s specifications and the number of turns. We plan the route so it stays within those limits.

Can you vent a dryer through the roof?

Yes, when that’s the best route available. Roof vents need a proper roof cap and regular cleaning.

Do you install dryer vents in condos?

We can, depending on building rules. We coordinate with building management where needed.
